Dr Gabriel Attipoe-Djagmah is a medical doctor and Family Medicine specialist with the Ghana Health Service at Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua. As lead for both the Outpatient and Emergency Department and deputy clinical director, he oversees day-to-day clinical operations, guides service delivery, and supports strategic decision-making within the hospital.

His responsibilities extend into governance and quality management. He sits on the House Management and Quality Assurance/Improvement Committees, chairs the Drug and Therapeutic Committee, and serves as focal person for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, where he coordinates national and international collaborations on antimicrobial resistance initiatives.

Dr Attipoe-Djagmah earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences and the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ghana, followed by membership in the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Family Medicine. He holds additional certifications in health management, fracture care, HIV/AIDS management, and advanced cardiac life support, which underpin his broad clinical scope.

Clinically, he manages medical and surgical emergencies, performs minor surgical procedures, and runs chronic-care clinics for asthma, diabetes, hypertension, and sickle-cell disease. He is also active in workforce development, mentoring medical officers and house officers, training nursing staff, and facilitating workshops that disseminate national policies and protocols.

His professional aim is to obtain a fellowship in Family Medicine with an emphasis on integrative medicine, contribute to the training of future Ghanaian family physicians, and establish a comprehensive medical centre in partnership with like-minded colleagues. Beyond medicine he enjoys farming and countryside travel, pursuits that provide balance and perspective to his clinical career.
