This course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of cervical cancer, its causes, and how to prevent it through early detection and screening. The focus will be on the role of pharmacists in eliminating the disease.
At the end of the training, it is hoped that participants will:
1. Understand the definition, incidence, and mortality rates of cervical cancer.
2. Identify the major risk factors for cervical cancer, including HPV infection, smoking, and a weak immune system.
3. Recognize the symptoms and signs of cervical cancer and when to seek medical attention.
4. Be knowledgeable about the various screening options available; including the Pap test and HPV test.
5. Implement prevention strategies, including HPV vaccination, lifestyle changes, and safe sexual practices.
6. Appreciate the role of Pharmacists in cervical cancer prevention.
