Strengthening Haematology Skills among Healthcare Professionals in Ghana

The virtual training program in Ghana aims to strengthen the capabilities of healthcare professionals in managing haematologic malignancies, blood transfusions, and sickle cell disease. Secondly, it focuses on offering a comprehensive overview of the latest treatment strategies for haematological malignancies, empowering attendees to assess and recommend appropriate treatments based on individual patient needs. Thirdly, it emphasizes the collaborative role of pharmacists in ensuring adequate supportive care for children with haematological malignancies, including medication management. Fourthly, the program aims to enhance participants' blood transfusion management skills, improving the safety and effectiveness of blood transfusions in clinical practice. Lastly, it addresses the holistic management of sickle cell disease, a significant health concern in Ghana, encompassing both preventive and therapeutic measures. Overall, this training program aligns with the broader goal of enhancing healthcare outcomes and the quality of life for patients with these conditions.
