Overview

Course Description

The OCEAN medical education programme is a practical educational resource, addressing the numerous clinical challenges of managing Dry Eye Disease (DED). This module will cover practical aspects, including diagnostic tests that identify classes of dry eye disease and how targeting specific areas of concern can improve the clinical care of patients with DED. The course highlights the four key stages of the vicious circle of DED pathology, in order to demonstrate how appropriate diagnosis and treatment can improve patient outcomes.

At the end of the course, participants are expected to;

1. Become familiar definition of Dry Eye Disease
2. Know the different types of Dry Eye Disease
3. Understand the key mechanisms of Dry Eye Disease
