Overview

Course Description

A remarkable proportion of the population of every country including Ghana, live with asthma. But there is relatively little public understanding about its impact, especially on the quality of life. This symposium is designed to bring together experts at the forefront of asthma care and research. The event will focus on understanding the gaps in care of asthma, as well as the role of the primary care physician in the management of the condition.

This Asthma Symposium is held in collaboration with the Ghana Thoracic Society (GTS), and the Society of Family Physicians of Ghana (SOFPOG), and is proudly sponsored by AstraZeneca.

This International Symposium will be a hybrid event; with in-person attendance being at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi (Ghana). Virtual attendees will watch via an interactive live stream during the event.

2. Become familiar with the gaps in the care of asthma
3. Be updated on the current management options for asthma
