Course Description

The Ghana National Asthma Forum is a hybrid event designed exclusively for healthcare professionals, focusing on advancing asthma management in Ghana. Participants will gain valuable insights into the latest treatment options and guidelines, including GINA 2024 and the Ghana Thoracic Society Asthma Guidelines, as well as emerging trends and research in asthma care. The forum features keynote addresses, panel discussions, and workshops, providing a platform for healthcare professionals to share experiences, challenges, and solutions to enhance asthma diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes across the country.


What you will learn

By the end of this training, participants will:

1. Understand current asthma management guidelines (GINA 2024) and their application in primary care

2. Learn about the role of Inhaled Corticosteroids (ICS), specifically Symbicort, in achieving asthma control

3. Gain knowledge on managing acute paediatric asthma with Pulmicort in emergency settings

4. Master correct inhaler techniques through demonstrations and practice
