This is a CPD‑accredited, two‑part hybrid CPD programme that delivers an authoritative update on evidence‑based breast‑cancer care for the contemporary African clinic. International experts in surgical, medical and radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, pharmacy, nursing and palliative care will guide participants through concise lectures, case‑based discussions and interactive decision tools. Core content spans tumour biology and molecular subtyping through to the practical sequencing of endocrine, targeted and systemic therapies, always integrating multidisciplinary perspectives and resource‑sensitive considerations. The course is expressly designed for oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, pharmacists, oncology nurses, primary‑care physicians and all other clinicians involved in breast‑cancer management across the disease continuum.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

1. Stay current – receive the latest consensus guidelines and emerging data on molecular diagnostics, endocrine resistance, targeted therapy and survivorship.

2. Multidisciplinary insights – learn how surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, pharmacists and nurses coordinate to deliver seamless, patient‑centred care.

3. African relevance – faculty place every recommendation in the context of local epidemiology, resource availability and practice realities.

4. Practical skills – work through real pathology reports, genomic assay results and treatment algorithms you can apply the very next clinic day.

5. Interactive learning – audience polling, breakout case workshops and live Q&A foster active engagement rather than passive listening.

6. CPD credit – earn recognised CME/CPD points to meet professional‑licensing requirements.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

1. Real‑time case‑solving workshops with voting on therapeutic choices and faculty feedback

2. Pathology and genomic assay master‑class: interpreting ER/PR/HER2/BRCA/Ki‑67 and multigene signatures

Overview

Course Description

This CME‑accredited virtual CPD programme brings together an international, multidisciplinary faculty to deliver a concise two‑part update on contemporary breast‑cancer care, blending evidence‑based lectures with interactive case workshops tailored to the African clinical landscape; participants will explore tumour biology, molecular sub‑typing, endocrine and targeted‑therapy sequencing, management of resistance, supportive and palliative measures, and resource‑sensitive implementation strategies—ultimately equipping oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, pharmacists, nurses and primary‑care clinicians with the practical knowledge and collaborative skills required for truly personalised, patient‑centred management across the disease continuum.

What you will learn

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the molecular and pathological basis of breast cancer and relate subtypes to prognosis and treatment.

2. Interpret genomic assays and standard pathology reports to individualise therapy.

3. Apply current evidence based guidelines for hormone receptor positive disease, including sequencing of endocrine and targeted agents.

4. Identify and manage mechanisms of therapeutic resistance and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

5. Integrate multidisciplinary and supportive care strategies across all stages, from diagnosis to survivorship and palliation.

6. Adapt precision medicine principles to varying resource levels within African clinical practice.
