He is an Adjunct Professor of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada, and the former Head of Pulmonary Division at the Military Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was the first to establish the nucleus of pulmonary hypertension medicine in the region and is the founder, and former head, of the Saudi Association for Pulmonary Hypertension and airway diseases.
He has more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Idrees as recognized and awarded for his achievements in the field of Pulmonary Hypertension by the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute; and his name was added to the “Pulmonary Hypertension Committee of Honor” chosen by the Spanish Ministry of Health.
