Professor Linda Dzama Forde is a Lecturer and a Counsellor at the University of Cape Coast. She had her secondary education at Achimota School and proceeded to the University of Cape Coast for a Diploma in Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, and a postgraduate Master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling. She has a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the Florida Agric. & Mechanical University (FAMU), USA.
She has taught and acted as a school Guidance Coordinator in a number of secondary schools under Ghana Education Service between 1992 and 1999. From 1999 till date, she has been a lecturer and a counsellor in the University of Cape Coast. She has over 20 years’ experience in career counselling and in the teaching of courses related to career guidance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Professor Forde is a certified Professional Counsellor with the Ghana Psychology Council, a member of the Ghana Psychological Association and the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).
She has researched extensively into adolescents' and young adults’ concerns. She has also jointly researched into higher education as well as abuse and trauma issues. She has several researched publications in peer-reviewed journals as well as book chapters to her credit.
