Kamilu Karaye is a Professor of Medicine at Bayero University (BUK), and Consultant Cardiologist at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), Kano, Nigeria. He is the Vice President of Nigeria Cardiac Society and the Deputy Editor in Chief of Nigerian Journal of Cardiology. Professor Karaye attended University of Jos (Nigeria) for his basic medical degree (BMBCh), Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (London) for MSc Cardiology, and Umea University (Sweden) for PhD.
He is a Fellow of West African College of Physicians (FWACP), Nigerian Cardiac Society (FNCS), Royal College of Physicians of London (FRCP, London), European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and American College of Cardiology (FACC).
