Pharmacist Susuana A.K Bruce is a highly qualified and accomplished professional with an impressive educational background. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the esteemed Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident in her attainment of a Master of Science in Public Health Informatics from the University of Ghana, a Certificate in Health Administration and Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Administration (GIMPA), and a Master of Business Administration from GIMPA. Additionally, she has enriched her expertise with a Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington.

In her current role, Pharm. Susuana A.K Bruce serves as the Pharmacist and Head of Procurement & Supply Management (PSM) at the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP), operating under the Ghana Health Service (GHS) within the Ministry of Health, Ghana. Her responsibilities are extensive and include leading quantification, forecasting, and supply planning for TB medicines and health commodities in alignment with GHS policies. She ensures the regular and safe supply of TB drugs to all regions, oversees proper storage and handling, and collaborates with the Procurement Division of the Ghana Health Service to develop procurement plans.

Pharm. Bruce has demonstrated leadership in building human capacity for the storage and security of MDR-TB drugs and providing valuable advice on purchasing, storage, and distribution issues. She actively contributes to the development of national guidelines, participates in training initiatives, and plays a crucial role in improving TB medicines availability and visibility within the Ghana Health Supply chain. Her involvement in safety monitoring activities has enhanced reporting on adverse reactions of MDR TB patients, and she serves as the Secretary to the post-marketing surveillance team of the FDA in 2021.

Prior to her current role, Pharm. Susuana A.K Bruce held key positions, including Head of Pharmacy at the Ridge Outpatient Department (OPD), now Adabraka Polyclinic, and Head of Pharmacy at Dansoman Polyclinic in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. In these roles, she excelled in providing medicines information, effective implementation of supply chain policies, forecasting and planning procurement, ensuring availability of medicines, and overseeing various aspects of pharmaceutical care. Her leadership extended to the coordination of activities such as training, appraisals, and participation in the counseling of HIV patients.
