Dr. Samuel Kow Donkoh stands as a prominent figure in the pharmaceutical landscape of Ghana, currently holding the esteemed position of President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH). Concurrently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Cedar Point Chemist Limited, showcasing his multifaceted leadership in both professional and business realms. With a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from KNUST and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Ghana Business School, he continues to enhance his expertise by pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) Degree at the University of Ghana School of Pharmacy.

Boasting a remarkable career, Dr. Donkoh brings over 27 years of experience as a registered pharmacist, primarily focusing on the private sector. His extensive tenure includes serving as the Country/Regional Manager at Roche Pharma from 2001 to 2011, overseeing operations in English West Africa and Southern Africa and gaining substantial experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing.

Dr. Donkoh's dedication to the pharmaceutical sector is evident in his leadership roles within various associations. He served as the President of the Pharmaceutical Importers and Wholesalers Association (PIWA) from 2016 to 2020, and earlier, as the President of the Pharmacy Business Executives Association of Ghana/Pharmacy Business Association of Ghana from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, he contributed significantly to the Ghana National Chamber of Pharmacy as a member of the National Executive Committee from 2015 to 2020.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Donkoh actively engages in alumni associations, holding the position of immediate past President of the Winneba Secondary School Old Students Association (WOSA). He is also an active member of the 1985 Year Group of St Augustine’s Past Students Union (APSU '85).

Dr. Donkoh's commitment to community and education is evident through his role as an Ex Officio Executive Member of the Pharmaceutical Importers and Wholesalers Association of Ghana and as a board member of Gomoa Gyaman Senior High School in the Central Region. His influence extends to the governance of the pharmaceutical sector as a member of the Governing Board of the Pharmacy Council of Ghana and the Ghana College of Pharmacists.

During his tenure as head of the PSGH Directorate for Education, Research, and Public Health, Dr. Donkoh demonstrated visionary leadership. Notably, he led initiatives advocating for the removal of VAT and other taxes on medicines, showcasing his commitment to ensuring accessibility to essential healthcare resources.
