Dr. Philip Anderson is the General Manager for Roche Ghana, with responsibility for Liberia, Sierra Leone, and the Gambia.
After earning his medical degree from the School of Medical Sciences, KNUST, he completed his internship at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and residency training in Family Medicine from the Ghana College of Physicians. He further holds a PGDip in Travel Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and an MBA from the University of South Wales.
Dr. Anderson’s years in clinical practice, about 10 years, included hospital practice in both the public and private sector, medical assistance, emergency services and travel medicine. He transitioned into a pharma executive, working with GlaxoSmithKline, and later Roche. He has served in several positions at country and regional levels. He is very passionate about sustainable access to medicines, health systems strengthening and standard of care particularly in Africa and LMICs, Inclusive and translational research.
