Dr. Onuzo Chibuikem Nwabugwu MBChB, FWACS, FGCS

Dr. Onuzo Chibuikem Nwabugwu is a highly accomplished Senior Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, currently serving in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC). He is also a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist and the CEO of Landmark Healthcare.

Dr. Nwabugwu obtained his medical degree from the College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana Medical School. He pursued further specialization and excellence by completing Fellowships in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from both the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. Additionally, he has received comprehensive training in Basic and Advanced Ultrasound from the Community East Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. He has also acquired skills in Diagnostic Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy, and hands-on training on the use of the NOVASURE system from the same institution.

Dr. Nwabugwu is an esteemed member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Endocrinology (ESHRE), the Fertility Society of Ghana (FERSOG), and the Society of Ghanaian Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SOGOG).

As a lead and co-author, Dr. Nwabugwu has contributed to several research publications, showcasing his dedication to advancing knowledge and expertise in his field.

He has a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise within the medical community and beyond. Dr. Nwabugwu has delivered various presentations to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, KBTH, University of Ghana, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana, FERSOG, SOGOG, as well as schools, churches, and other social groups. His active participation in conferences and trainings both within and outside Ghana highlights his pursuit of continuous professional development. Dr. Nwabugwu has attended notable conferences such as those organized by the Ghana College of Physician and Surgeons (GCPS), West African College of Surgery (WACS), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FIGO) conferences.
