Dr. Joseph Ashitey Oliver-Commey is the Acting Director of the Ghana Infectious Disease Centre, and a member Greater Accra Regional TB training team and National Ebola Response Team. He holds an MPH, Epidemiology major from the School of Public Health, University of Ghana, and is a fellow of the West African College of Medicine (FWACP) and West African College of Physicians (MWACP).
Dr. Oliver-Commey is an affiliate of the Infectious Disease Society Of America (ISDA), amongst others, and has contributed immensely to the management of Infectious Diseases, especially in HIV and TB comorbid patients, having published many notable articles on the subject, and served in various capacities in pursuance of same. He is a member of the National Infection Control Policy review team, the National Covid-19 case management team, drug-resistant Tb Technical Working group (National Tuberculosis Program – NTP).
