He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in 1995, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in the medical field.

Dr. Odeniyi became a Member of the West African College of Physicians (MWACP) in 2004 and was later conferred the title of Fellow by the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCP) in 2008. In 2013, his contributions to the field were recognized with a Fellowship from the American College of Endocrinology (FACE).

Throughout his career, Dr. Odeniyi has held various positions and served in esteemed institutions, contributing significantly to medical education, research, and patient care. His work experience spans from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital to the Police Clinic at Police Headquarters Osogbo during his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC). He has also been involved with G & A Hospital in Lagos and held positions at the Lagoon Hospital, Apapa, and the General Hospital, Lagos, among others.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Odeniyi has been actively engaged in academia, serving as a Lecturer at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos since September 2010.
