Dr. Ayetey qualified at the University of Cambridge and trained in General Internal Medicine in the London and Oxford Deaneries before returning to Cambridge as a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow and Specialty Registrar in Cardiology, where his research led to a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr. Ayetey subsequently completed a sub-specialty Fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging at the Royal Brompton Hospital in the UK. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) School of Medical Sciences and runs clinics in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Euracare in Accra; where he is a Consultant in Advanced Cardiac Imaging and leads the Advanced Cardiac Imaging (Cardiac MRI and CT) service at the same facility.
He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (London), European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, and a Fellow of the Ghanaian Society of Cardiology.
Dr. Ayetey is a former Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at UCC School of Medicine. He is a Physician/Cardiologist at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital
