Dr. Dzifa Ahadzi is a dedicated and hardworking Senior Specialist Physician/Cardiologist at the Tamale Teaching Hospital located in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana where she serves as the Clinical Coordinator for the Department of Medicine. She is an emerging researcher with interests in hypertension, heart failure, and women’s cardiovascular health research with a focus on strategies to empower patients to improve self-care and self-management.

She is an Executive Member of the Ghanaian Society of Cardiology and was a member of the Organizing Committee for the World Heart Federation's first Roundtable on Hypertension in Ghana.

She is an ardent learner and has undergone numerous training and obtained certificates from many prestigious institutions. Notable of these are Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington and the Global Leadership Institute in Dubai. She was recently named an Emerging Leader for the 2024 cohort of the World Heart Federation's Emerging Leaders Program.

Dr. Ahadzi was a recipient of the Residents-in-Training Educational Stipend (RITES) Award, Yale Partnerships for Global Health (July 2022). She is at present a member of AMPATH (Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare) Tamale Chronic Disease Management Working Group, and a fellow of Stroke and Cardiovascular Research Training, SCaRT, Fogarty Funded Program. She is also a reviewer of the Ghana Medical Journal. Dr. Ahadzi has authored and co-authored publications in some of the world’s leading medical journals.
