Dr. Dike Ojji, MBBS, FWACP, PhD, is an esteemed Associate Professor and Cardiologist renowned for his pioneering contributions to cardiovascular research and training, particularly in addressing the escalating burden of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Ojji embarked on his academic journey at the prestigious University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria, where he received foundational training in medicine and subsequently specialized in cardiology at the University of Queensland, Australia.

Since 2006, Dr. Ojji has been an instrumental figure in academia and clinical practice, holding pivotal roles at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Physician/Cardiologist, Dr. Ojji has demonstrated unwavering commitment to advancing cardiovascular research and training. Notably, he holds the esteemed position of Deputy Director at the Centre for Undergraduate Research and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the New Nigerian Journal of Clinical Research, platforms through which he fosters academic excellence and scholarly discourse.

Dr. Ojji's research endeavors center on hypertension, hypertensive heart disease, and associated comorbidities prevalent among Black Africans.
