Dr. Daniel Opoku is a Lecturer at the Health Policy Management and Economics Department of the School of Public Health, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. Dr. Opoku is also the Group Leader of the eHealth Research Partner Group (eHRPG) at the KNUST and a co-Leader of the Health Systems and Economics Research Group as well as the Community Engagement Research Group at the German-West African Centre (G-WAC) for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention hosted at the KNUST College of Health Sciences in Kumasi.

Dr. Opoku is also a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Health Care Management, Berlin University of Technology (TU Berlin) in Germany. He is a trained sociologist and a public health scientist with academic and research experience in health systems and policies and a special interest in implementation science, digital health, health care innovations, evidence-based health policy, health technology assessment (HTA) and Africa.
