Catherine Idara Segbefia, is a distinguished Paediatric Haematologist/Oncologist and Senior Lecturer in Paediatrics. Her extensive expertise and impactful contributions span across various positions and responsibilities in the medical field.

In her current roles, Catherine serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS), College of Health Sciences in Accra. She also holds the esteemed position of Medical Lead for Newborn Screening for Sickle Cell Disease at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH). Catherine's commitment to improving healthcare extends to her involvement as a Member of the Project Steering Committee and Board Member for World Child Cancer, Ghana. Additionally, she takes on the role of Course Advisor for the Diploma in Child Health (DCH) program at UGMS and serves as an E-Learning Ambassador for DCH, UGMS. She holds the critical position of Head of the Paediatric Haematology & Sickle Cell Clinics within the Department of Child Health (DCH) at KBTH. Catherine's vast experience includes her previous role as an External Examiner for Paediatrics at the University of Cape Coast.
