Dr. Bernard Ziem is a medical doctor and public health leader working with the Ghana Health Service. He trained in medicine and clinical practice, then expanded his qualifications with postgraduate studies in international health and public health, including a master’s in international health and professional certification in clinical practice. He has served in various public health roles within the Ghana Health Service over several years and was appointed Acting Programme Manager for the National Tuberculosis Programme. In this role he is responsible for guiding Ghana’s national TB control and elimination efforts, coordinating policy implementation, case detection, treatment strategies, and partnerships to reduce the burden of tuberculosis across the country.
