Dr. Bernard Tei-Mensah Dornoo is an accomplished Medico-Legal and Human Rights Consultant with over 13 years of combined experience in medical and legal practice. He is a member of both the Ghana Medical Association and the Ghana Bar Association, uniquely positioning him at the intersection of healthcare and law.

Currently serving as a Consultant, Doctor Advisor, and Technical Expert at EQUIP Health Ghana in Accra, Dr. Dornoo is deeply involved in advancing HIV-related care and rights. His responsibilities include training, advising, and mentoring implementation teams at national, regional, and facility levels on HIV Differentiated Service Delivery, ART/PMTCT, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and PrEP. He also provides human rights support for People Living with HIV (PLHIV), key populations, and healthcare practitioners, while building the capacity of partners and implementers.

Dr. Dornoo's career spans roles in both public and private sectors, where his dedication to addressing the stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV and other diseases has been a consistent focus. His expertise extends to palliative care, having actively contributed as a member of the Ghana Palliative Care Association.

A seasoned leader and governance advocate, Dr. Dornoo is a member of the Institute of Directors (Ghana), promoting sound governance and administrative practices in his professional dealings. He has served on several boards and is a sought-after consultant in medico-legal matters, offering expert advice to medical and legal professionals, law firms, and corporate institutions.

Notably, Dr. Dornoo has published research on the HIV epidemic in Ghana, including an analysis of national program data from 2005 to 2010. He has also held leadership roles such as Medical Director and Director of Medical Services at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), where he actively championed health advocacy initiatives, including those on COVID-19 prevention and eye health awareness.
