Emikpe benjamin is a professor of diagnostic pathology and heads the department of veterinary pathology of University of Ibadan, Nigeria. My research interest had been pulmonology with intranasal vaccination approach to control of major pneumonia in domestic animal and viral diseases of poultry.

He has also applied the use of phytogenic delivery system in the delivery of poultry vaccines especially that of Newcastle disease and infectious bursal disease of poultry. He has graduated 12 doctoral students in the area of vaccine delivery, use of probiotics, and phytobiotics in chicken, goats and fish.

Presently he supervises doctoral students in the area of intranasal vaccine delivery for PPR, a pneumonic disease of goats in the tropics. He also works in the introduction of probiotics in the control of repiratory diseases in goats and major diseases of fish.

Dr. Benjamin Obukowho Emikpe is visiting professor to universities in Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra leone. He is also an external examiner to the University of Ghana, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Presently, he is a member of a multidisciplinary central laboratory university of ibadan and a member of the governing board of Precious Cornerstone University based in Ibadan, Nigeria.

His research interests are in Vaccinology, Diagnostic pathology, and immunohistochemistry. He has ove 400 peer-reviwed publications.
