Summary

The Pharmacy Council, Ghana, is pleased to invite Pharmacists and all stakeholders to an important meeting aimed at reviewing the technical and financial operations of the Council in 2023 and providing a comprehensive update on the Council’s plans for 2024. This meeting is a significant opportunity for stakeholders to engage in discussions about the past year's performance, understand the key activities and collaborations planned for the upcoming year, and review proposed new fees. The event will conclude with a discussion on the way forward, ensuring that the Pharmacy Council, in partnership with its stakeholders, continues to meet the evolving needs of the pharmacy profession in Ghana.

 

This meeting promises to be a valuable platform for stakeholders to voice their opinions, contribute to the Council’s plans, and ensure that the operations of the Pharmacy Council align with the goals of the broader healthcare community. All interested participants are encouraged to attend and actively engage in the discussions.

ABOUT THE PHARMACY COUNCIL

The Pharmacy Council is established by Parts IV & VI of the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013, (ACT 857) as a body corporate with perpetual succession. It is governed by a nine (9) member Governing Board with the mandate of securing in the public interest the highest standards in the practice of pharmacy in the country.

To guarantee the highest levels of pharmaceutical care.

 

MISSION

The mission of the Pharmacy Council is to secure the highest level of pharmaceutical care by ensuring competent pharmaceutical care providers who practice with agreed standards and are accessible to the whole population. In addition we shall collaborate with related local agencies and international pharmaceutical organisations to enhance our effectiveness and our contribution on rational drug use in the nation. This mission shall be carried out with dedication, integrity and professionalism.
