PENALTIES FOR PHARMACISTS WITH LESS THAN TEN (10) CPD CREDITS

13 March 2019

The Pharmacy Council has announced the penalty for pharmacists who failed to attain the minimum required CPD credits (10) as follows:

Such pharmacists shall pay a graduated penalty based on the shortfall in the CPD credits. Everyone (1) credit shortfall will attract a penalty of one hundred Ghana Cedi’s (GHC 100).

For instance, a pharmacist who attained four (4) credits would have a shortfall of 6 credits, and will therefore be required to pay an amount of GHC 600.00.

This penalty does not include the annual licensure fee. The payment shall be required before the pharmacist is allowed to retain their name in the list of pharmacists in good standing for 2019.
