Discussions on pharmacological therapies, including Inclisiran, provide practical insights for optimizing patient care.
Upon completion of this training, participants will attain these objectives:
1. Understand the epidemiology of ASCVD in the local context and recognize the pivotal role of lipid management in ASCVD prevention.
2. Familiarize themselves with the Ghanaian dyslipidemia guidelines and discuss practical applications of these guidelines in clinical practice.
3. Learn effective methods of risk assessment for ASCVD and receive expert guidance on risk stratification strategies.
4. Understand the rationale behind statin up-titration and explore the role of add-on medications in ASCVD prevention.
5. Review fundamental concepts of ASCVD and dyslipidemia, and gain insights into the diagnosis and management of Familial Hypercholesterolemia.
6. Evaluate disparities between local and international lipid management practices, and identify areas for improvement in clinical practice.
7. Explore innovative approaches to bridging the gap between local and international guidelines, and discuss the development and implementation of a home-grown algorithm for lipid management.
8. Examine the efficacy and safety profile of Inclisiran as an add-on therapy, and discuss its potential role in optimizing lipid management and ASCVD prevention.
