This training event is coupled with the mini launch of Forxiga (dapagliflozin), which has shown remarkable clinical outcomes when employed in the management of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
CKD is a serious, progressive condition defined by decreased kidney function affecting nearly 700 million people worldwide, many of them still undiagnosed. Currently there are limited treatment options for these patients. CKD is associated with significant patient morbidity and an increased risk of CV events, such as heart failure (HF) and premature death.
DAPA-CKD is an international, multi-centre, randomised, double-blinded trial in 4,304 patients designed to evaluate the efficacy of Farxiga 10mg, compared with placebo, in patients with CKD Stages 2–4 and elevated urinary albumin excretion, with and without T2D.
By the end of this training, participants will learn
1. The current management of T2DM
2. How to manage HFref with or without T2DM
3. The Management of CKD stages 2-4
4. The multiple indications of dapagliflozin
