Prof. Ted Wu is an accomplished endocrinologist and medical educator with extensive experience in diabetes care, clinical research, and professional training. He currently serves as the Director of the Diabetes Centre at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he also holds the position of Senior Staff Specialist in Endocrinology. His leadership has been instrumental in developing the Centre into an internationally recognised institution, distinguished as a Centre of Excellence by both the International Diabetes Federation and the Australian National Association of Diabetes Centres.

Prof. Wu has contributed significantly to the advancement of diabetes management and education through his involvement in major clinical trials, curriculum design, and postgraduate medical training. He has also played advisory and consultative roles with national and international health organisations on diabetes therapies and medical education. As a frequent invited speaker at global conferences, he has shared insights on innovative approaches to diabetes treatment, metabolic health, and professional education.

His dedication to teaching extends to his long-term role as a tutor and program developer at the University of Sydney’s Central Clinical School, where he has helped train future physicians and specialists. His research interests include diabetic nephropathy, youth-onset type 2 diabetes, and novel therapeutic approaches.
