Prof. Samuel Kofi Newton graduated with an MBChB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 1993. Completed an MSc in Public Health in Developing Countries in 2001 and a PhD in Epidemiology also from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2007.
