Prof. Javed Butler is a leading cardiologist and clinical investigator whose work spans patient care, research and health-system leadership. He serves as President of the Baylor Scott & White Research Institute and Senior Vice President of Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas. His career has included directing heart-failure and transplant programmes, leading major clinical-trial initiatives and holding academic appointments in cardiovascular medicine. His research focuses on innovative therapies for heart failure, and he has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications.
