Prof. Dorith Shaham is a Clinical Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at the Hadassah–Hebrew University Medical Center, where she serves as Unit Director of CT and Cardiothoracic Imaging. She is internationally recognized for her work in thoracic radiology, particularly in lung cancer screening and education. Her academic and clinical journey spans decades of leadership in diagnostic imaging, curriculum innovation, and professional training. She has served as an oral board examiner and chaired national committees for radiology certification in Israel, contributing to the development of standardized assessment and education in medical imaging.

Her research focuses on early lung cancer detection and CT-based imaging techniques, with long-term involvement in the International Early Lung Cancer Action Program (I-ELCAP). She is a principal investigator in numerous national and international research projects and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributing significantly to the global understanding of thoracic radiology. In addition to her clinical and academic roles, she has played a key role in medical humanities education and the integration of humanistic approaches into medical training.

Prof. Shaham also participates in various national health committees, including initiatives for implementing lung cancer screening programs in Israel. Her work in medical education has earned her numerous awards for excellence and innovation, reflecting her commitment to improving healthcare through both teaching and clinical research.
