Peter Tomasch Pharm.D.

Peter Tomasch is a pharmacist and experienced Country Quality Lead at Novartis Slovakia, based in Bratislava. He has been with Novartis for 16 years and has extensive experience in quality management, quality assurance, quality control, supply chain management and pharmaceutical operations.

Peter has served as Country Quality Lead at Novartis Slovakia s.r.o. since January 2015, with responsibility for quality management and batch release within the country's Quality Organisation. His experience also includes managing quality-related projects, regulatory authority negotiations, licences management, logistics provider selection and contract negotiations.

He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the Pharmaceutical Faculty, having completed his studies between 1996 and 2001. His professional expertise spans Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Peter has also played an important role in the Value Chain Academy (VCA), serving as a Quality in Supply (QiS) Subject Matter Expert and Trainer for the 2025 Philippines Cohort. The Value Chain Academy is a real-time online learning programme that has reached more than 1,800 learners and issued over 800 certificates across 10 low- and middle-income countries. The programme focuses on strengthening supply chain and quality management capabilities to support the reliable delivery of quality medicines and reduce risks such as stock-outs, write-offs and quality issues.

His previous experience includes serving as the QA Responsible Person for a local warehouse move and selection of a new third-party warehouse provider, where he was involved in provider selection, contract negotiations, process establishment and quality assessment.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Peter has demonstrated a commitment to community engagement through volunteering, including leading a school table tennis course for children between 2016 and 2023. He speaks English and has interests including reading, cycling and skiing.
