Dr. Solomon E. Quayson is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School and an Honorary Consultant Pathologist at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana.

He holds an MSc in Histopathology from the Imperial College, Hammersmith Hospital of the University of London. He is a Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians (FGCP) and of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) where he is the immediate past Chairman of the Faculty.

He is a trainer and examiner in the membership and fellowship programs of both Colleges. He is a Fogarty Fellow in HIV/AIDS Translational Research from the Brown University, Rhodes Island, USA and a Zeiler C. Colby Fellow in Pulmonary pathology and Cytology from the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. Dr. Quayson has thought in the University of Ghana (UG) and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) over the past 20 years. He has a number of publications to his credit. His interests are in Childhood cancers, Female genital/breast cancer and in medical audit.
