Dr. Josephine Nsaful is a Consultant General Surgeon and Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. She holds a BSc and MB ChB from the University of Ghana Medical School and is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and the Ghana College of Surgeons (FGCS). With a specialized focus on breast cancer, she works at the Breast Surgery Unit and leads research in breast cancer disparities among African populations. She has undertaken multiple research projects funded by international grants, including studies on informed consent, breast cancer genetics, and survival outcomes. Dr. Nsaful has extensive experience in academia, mentoring medical students and surgical residents while serving as an examiner for medical licensing boards. She has received training from institutions such as the Institut Jules Bordet in Belgium and the British Foundation for International Reconstructive Surgery and Training (BFIRST). As an advocate for breast cancer awareness, she engages in public education and has presented research at global conferences. She is a member of multiple professional bodies, including the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and the Breast Society of Ghana. Dr. Nsaful remains committed to advancing breast cancer care, research, and surgical education in Ghana.
