Dr. Desrie Delsol-Gyan MD, Fellow

Dr. Desrie Delsol-Gyan currently holds the esteemed position of Consultant Cardiologist at the National Cardiothoracic Centre in Korle Bu, a role she has undertaken since April 2015. Simultaneously, she serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Medicine, University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho, further contributing to medical education.

Her professional journey includes achieving first-grade specialization in Cardiology from the Institute of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery in Havana, Cuba. Dr. Delsol-Gyan also holds an M.D from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences at Hospital Arnando Millian Castro, Santa Clara, Cuba. Her pursuit of excellence extends to a Diploma in Echocardiography from Hospital Hnos Ameijeiras and Cardiocenter, William Soler, both in Havana, Cuba, as well as a Diploma in Cardiac Emergencies from the Institute of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery, Havana, Cuba.

Education-wise, Dr. Delsol-Gyan's rigorous training involved a post-fellowship advanced course in Echocardiography, specializing in both adult and pediatric echo at Hospital Hnos Ameijeiras in Havana, Cuba, and Pediatric Cardiology at "Cardiocenter, William Soler" in Havana, Cuba. Additionally, she completed her residency in Cardiology at the Institute of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery in Havana, Cuba. Her medical journey began with a residency in Internal Medicine at the Calixto Garcia Teaching Hospital in Havana, Cuba.

Dr. Delsol-Gyan's commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is evident in her active participation in various conferences. Notably, she attended the European Society of Cardiology Congress in Paris, Munich, Barcelona, and Rome, among others.
