Dr. Collins Kokuro BSc., MBChB, MWACP, FWACP

Dr. Collins Kokuro is the Head of Cardiology at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana, and a Lecturer at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He is also a Consultant Physician/Cardiologist at the Totalité Health Services Danyame in Kumasi.

Dr. Kokuro is the Vice President of the Ghanaian Society of Cardiology Ghana and an Executive Member of the West African College of Physicians Ghana Chapter. Heis also the Chairman of the College of Health Science/KNUST Website Committee, CPD Committee, Ghana Medical Association, Ashanti Division, and also of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Editorial Board. He is the Editor In Chief of the KATH Newsletter.

Other notable portfolios he occupies include; Coordinator for Physician Assistant Program and Assistant Examination Officer, School of Medicine and Dentistry, KNUST; Assessor in Internal Medicine, National Accreditation Board, Ghana; Member, Committee on E- Health Project, KATH; Deputy Training Coordinator for Kumasi, Faculty of Internal Medicine, West African College of Physician, Ghana Chapter and Training Coordinator, Postgraduate Training. As an academic, he has contributed immensely to the pool of knowledge available to Ghanaian practitioners through extensive research and publications. His research in the field of science has covered the topics of Vaccination and the Covid 19 andemic, and the various dynamics that contribute both to illness, comorbid conditions and willingness of professionals to accept vaccination against the virus, stroke, hypertension, stroke, and the myriad of cardiovascular risks patients may be exposed to and the optimisation of all interventions available to them.
