Dr. Claudia I. Henschke is a seasoned radiologist and researcher with a multidisciplinary background that bridges mathematical statistics, computer science, and medicine. Her career has been defined by pioneering work in early lung cancer detection, especially through low-dose CT screening. As a leader of major national and international research collaborations, she has played a central role in developing and expanding lung cancer screening programs across multiple continents. Her work has influenced clinical protocols, public policy, and global standards in thoracic imaging and early detection. In addition to her academic and research leadership, she has made substantial contributions as an educator and mentor, shaping the careers of numerous radiologists and researchers worldwide.
