Breast Society of Ghana in collaboration with AstraZeneca is organizing a CPD-accredited event and training program titled Breast Society of Ghana Pink October Awareness Month - 2022.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. In low- and middle-income countries the incidence has been rising steadily due to increased life expectancy, changing reproductive patterns (such as later age at first childbirth and less breastfeeding), and the adoption of western lifestyles.
There are about 1.7 million new cases and 522,000 deaths from breast cancer each year. It’s for this reason, the Breast Society of Ghana together with AstraZeneca is organizing a CPD-accredited event on Breast Cancer Awareness, dubbed Pink October Awareness Month, with the theme; Living Beyond Breast Cancer: Together We Can
At the end of this launch and training event, participants are expected to:
1. Appreciate the importance of patient navigation in the management of breast cancer
2. Understand the theme - Living beyond breast cancer: Together we can
