Specialist Pharmacy Service Delivery for the Attainment of UHC- Towards the SDG's

Summary

The Governing Council of the Ghana College of Pharmacists wishes to invite you to its 2024 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference (AGM). This will be an exciting two-day event packed with a line-up that includes addresses, relevant speeches, a scientific meeting, and a second day dedicated to business sessions. The Honorable Minister of Health, Bernard Okoe-Boye (MP) will be the special guest of honour. This year's AGM and Scientific Conference will witness many activities including Induction of Fellows, Induction of Members, Poster Presentations, Scientific Paper, Presentations, Specialized Sessions, Parallel Scientific Sessions, etc.

 

MANDATE

The Mandate of the College is to: Promote specialist training in pharmacy, and related disciplines, promote Continuous Professional Development in pharmacy and related disciplines, promote research in pharmaceutical practice and related disciplines, and contribute to the formulation of policies on sound health, medicines, and public health general.

A world-class College for Specialized Pharmacy Practice for quality health care delivery.

MISSION

Ghana College of Pharmacists exists to provide an avenue for enhanced pharmaceutical practice to the nation, through the provision of specialist training, improved trends in pharmaceutical practice and effective national policy formulation through the use of top-class motivated staff and resource persons, using contemporary facilities and equipment for quality health care delivery.

OBJECTIVE

To contribute effectively to continuous improved healthcare delivery in Ghana, through:

  • Training of Pharmacy Specialists
  • Collaborative programmes with members of the healthcare delivery team
  • Collaboration with relevant stakeholders in policy formulation, implementation and monitoring
  • Capacity development for research and information management
